Property tax registers

The property tax registers contain the information about properties and liable taxpayers needed to perform a correct taxation of property tax. If you find any of the information incorrect, you should contact your municipality to make corrections.

The Property Tax Department (PTD) and The Municipal Property Tax Offices (PTO) are responsible for managing the property tax registers. These registers contain information needed to perform a correct taxation of property tax. 

The information in the registers is updated continuously. Should you detect any incorrect information about you or your property – please contact your Municipal Property Tax Office.

Taxpayer information

For each taxpayer the following information is registered:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Personal number
  • Ownership/possession
  • Share of property

Parcel information

For each parcel and parcel unit the following is registered:

  • Area (The size of the unit in square meters)
  • Usage (The actual usage of the unit)
  • Location (Where the unit is located)
  • Borders (The actual borders of a parcel)

Object information

For each object and object unit the following is registered:

  • Area (The size of the unit in square meters)
  • Usage (The actual usage of the unit)
  • Location (Where the unit is located)
  • Condition (Each object is assigned one of five different condition standards)
  • Primary residence (only for an object that is used as primary residence for the liable taxpayer)
